Pastor Kennedy Makanji, Chairman
Pastor Makanji is a teacher/social worker and a pastor by profession He has served as Pastor at Providence Baptist Church since 1993. He chairs the Pastors Fellowship Department of the Lower Western Baptist Regional Convention which has 257 pastors. He volunteers for Children’s Services and serves as an investigator visiting homes.
Pastor Kennedy is married to Hyline, an early childhood education teacher. They are blessed with ten biological children and two fostered children. The children range in age from 3 – 20.
He has had a long history with MTTF. At the request of then Director of MTTF, Charles Shikuku, he visited the orphanages and counseled individual, vulnerable children since before 2010. He currently mentors the children/adults spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
Dr. Kennedy Bomji
Dr. Bomji is trained in Clinical Medicine and Surgery. He is currently the County Director of Health as the County Clinical Officer/ County Aids & STI Coordinator to-date. He also runs a convalescent center and clinic near the Fellowship House that is staffed 24/7. He is an Elder in Christ Co-Worker’s Church (CHRISCO) in Kakamega.
Dr. Bomji is married to Alice Cherop, a teacher. They are blessed with two boys and two girls. The oldest is in 4th year of university and the youngest is 8 years old.
In 2002 he became involved in MTTF as a Board member. Dr. Bomji has overseen the activities of the home as the Director and Mandatory Signatory since 2011.
Kennedy and Alice Bomji are a blessing as they bring wisdom and spiritual guidance in leading the weekly Bible Study at Fellowship House, a home and gathering place for many of the young adults served by MTTF.
These men are faithful to MTTF and admired in their community. We are thankful to have them on the ground in Kakamega.
In addition to the above Board members David I. and Charles S. are professionals in the community who serve as Advisors to the Kenyan Board and have been involved with MTTF for many years.
